Creating Expenses
When creating an expense, I do not have an option to select a Budget Category and/or Line Item. It says "NO DATA FOUND" in the dropdown.
ANSWER: Your Budget is not setup. You must have at least 1 Category and 1 Line Item in your Budget to create expenses. Contact your Program Rep to have them setup your budget.
I cannot create/save an expense because I am getting an error message.
ANSWER: If there is an expense cap on one of your Budget line items or Budget Categories, you will not be able to create an expense that would go over that amount (summation of expenses for that budget category and/or line item). The expense cap amounts include both Grant Funds and Match amounts. If you need your expense cap increased (due to having additional match), contact your Program Rep. To view your current expense line item/category subtotals and totals, view the Grant Budget Variance Report.
Budget Cap Error Message
"Expense totals cannot exceed the category budget cap of $#"
Line Item Cap Error Message
"Expense totals cannot exceed the budget item cap of $#"
Viewing Expenses
When I go to the the list of my expenses, the expense grid (Post-Award > Financial > Expenses), I do not see the expenses I had previously created.
ANSWER: Click the green Run button to view all expenses on that Award.
